#i loved everything about kirk’s exasperation with his crew in this movie. every time he sighed heavily or rolled his eyes was PERFECT. #i can just imagine him in that first year trying to get everybody to follow his orders and it only works maybe 50% of the time #bones probably pats his head occasionally and says ‘that’s cute jim now shut up and get me a bourbon.’ #i can hear jim whining BUT I’M THE CAPTAIN!!!!! all the fucking time #because he’s got a crew of geniuses but they’re also eccentrtic maniacs and he loves them to bits #but jfc guys come on pLEASE PLEASE I’M THE CAPTAIN BOOOOOONES I’M THE CAPTAIN #scotty PLS #and then spock has to tell everybody to behave themselves while kirk sulks for a while
